The Samsung Galaxy S3 may be S-shaped according to some leaked sources however it will certainly offer some powerful functionality through better hardware and the latest version of the advanced Android operating system. The handset is set to launch later this year, and will be a major contender to some other big names in the industry.
One of the most important features on smartphone for many is the main camera, and increasingly the front camera too. Many handsets now offer considerable power and capabilities matching that of a digital camera device itself. Smartphones allow you to not only capture great moments in photo and video format, but also instantly share the multimedia with any of your contacts and friends via messaging, email or directly on social networks. The Samsung Galaxy S2 allows you to do all of this with its 8 megapixel camera, and it is therefore likely that the Galaxy S3 will offer 12 megapixels, among the other camera features, and doubtless assisted by an LED flash.
Meanwhile, Samsung have already implemented the Android 4.0 operating system, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich and it is full of new features and includes a revolutionary and radically changed user interface and controls which provide a more intuitive experience and allow you to find and do what you want on your phone faster. It features a 360 degree menu for applications along with a holographic background, and places the apps you use most at the front of those you don't. Of course you will still have the ability to customise many aspects of your phone, and can always download and add more apps to it via the built in Android Market, one of what is now an increased number of preinstalled apps respectively.
Along with this powerful and impressive software, the hardware is also moving up to a new level with this handset also expected to feature as much as 2 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM) and a 2 gigahertz dual core processor giving it the speed and ability of a PC or tablet. Combine this with a potential internal storage of 32 gigabytes and connectivity to share files seamlessly, this promises to be a great handset.
The possible S shaped design may be exaggerated, but it is likely that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will feature a large 4.65 inch Super AMOLED touch screen and offer High Definition 1080 pixel display. Altogether it is expected to be a slim and extremely powerful smartphone.
