Track the Location of a Cell Phone-Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless

Some models of Verizon cell phones are designed with GPS devices that allow you to track the exact location of the phone from a personal computer. This is a service called Verizon Chaperone and can be set up on any Verizon Chaperone/Parent phones including the LG Decoy, Venus Pink, Verizon Wireless G'zOne and the LG Voyager. Parents or family members who want to track phones on the network need to log onto Chaperone from the Internet.

1.    Add Chaperone to your account. You can visit your nearest Verizon Wireless store to speak with a customer service representative about adding Chaperone to your account or call (800) 922-0204 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            (800) 922-0204      end_of_the_skype_highlighting and follow the prompts.

2.    Download the Chaperone application to your phone. You need to download the Chaperone application to both the Parent Phone and Child Phone for your account. Visit the Verizon Wireless Chaperone application download page (see Resources) and select "Send to Phone" to purchase the application.

3.      Enable location on the phone. Select "Menu" from your welcome screen, then scroll to the "Settings and Tools" to select "Phone Settings" and then press number 5 to select "Location." Push OK to enable the "Location On" feature.

4.      Sign into Chaperone. Log onto your Verizon Wireless account online and sign into the Chaperone system. Click on the link in the Resources section for one-click access.

5.      Activate child phones. Activate all of the child phones on your account to begin tracking the phone. The tracked phones will now appear on the maps of your Chaperone account so you can locate all child phones within seconds.
